1966 Rickenbacker 340 (three pickups, no vibrato)
One of only five or less Mapleglo 340's made in 1966! This 15 1/4 inch wide natural maple thin-body (1 1/2 inches) guitar with a single "cat's-eye" soundhole and pointed horns weighs just 7.20 lbs. Three-piece maple and walnut neck with a medium profile and a scale length of 24 3/4 inches and a nut width of just over 1 5/8 inches. Rosewood fretboard with 21 original medium jumbo frets and white dot position markers. Three "toaster" pickups with outputs of 3.90k, 3.85k, and 7.93k (that's how Rickenbacker three-pickup models measure). Rickenbacker bridge and "R" tailpiece. An exceptionally fine example, housed in its original Rickenbacker silver hardshell case with blue plush lining (8.50).
