Gentlemen Prefer Blonds…
1965 Fender Stratocaster.
This extremely rare see-through Blond "transition" Strat weighs just 7.80 lbs. Solid ash body, one-piece maple neck, veneer rosewood fretboard with 21 frets and pearloid dot position markers. The neck is stamped "2 NOV 65B". Three single-coil pickups with outputs of 5.92k, 5.91k, and 5.77k. Three-layer celluloid pickguard with eleven screws. Fender "Synchronized Tremolo" combined bridge/tailpiece. A beautiful and very resonant guitar. Expertly re-fretted with slightly larger gauge frets, otherwise in totally original and excellent plus (8.75) condition. A real treasure - complete with the original black leather strap and 1965 Fender catalog. Housed in the original Fender black hardshell case with orange plush lining (8.00). These mid-sixties blond 'ash' bodied Strats are very uncommon.
